We first made this journal in Feb. 2020. Clients were invited to write down love stories that intertwined with hair during their salon appointments. Culminating in a hand written, hand bound, record of love in our community.
Feels right to continue and expand with volume 2. As with the first, our cover will be made with our community members and the words inside as well. We’re opening up submissions to our broader Salon community outside of the walls of our Brooklyn space. We will print one copy only and it will be on the shelves of our (Salon)STUDY library as of Feb. 14th, 2025.
